** Community Impactive Crimes **


Please find below details relating to the Community Impactive Crimes that have occurred between Monday 22nd April and Sunday 28th April in the Trowbridge area.

 

Burglary                                22/04/2024

Regal Court - Entry gained via insecure door and item stolen from within. 

 

 Drugs                                    28/04/2024

Trowbridge - Vehicle stopped by officers, checks confirmed the male driver is disqualified. Class A drugs also located within the vehicle. 

22 year old male from Cornwall arrested and has been Released Under Investigation (RUI) pending further enquiries. 

 

Vehicle Offences                   23/04/2024

Duke Street - Damage caused to van and entry gained. Items including a television and mountain bike stolen from within. 

 

 Theft from Cars

  • Try to park somewhere open and well-lit. 
  • Lock up - including the boot. 
  • Remember to close the windows and sunroof.
  • Don't leave anything on show in your car when you park - not even a coat. 
  • If you have removeable sat nav, remove it and take it with you if possible. Remove the mounting, polish any marks off the windscreen and hide the cable and mounting. 
  • Store car ownership information at home, not in your car. 
  • Number plates are often stolen for criminal use. Use plates secured with anti-theft screws, available from car accessory stores. 
  • Try not to store things in the boot.
  • Vehicle Offences                   24/04/2024

    St Stephen's Place - Bag containing camera equipment stolen from an open boot. 

     

    Vehicle Offences                   23/04/2024

    St Stephen's Place - Overnight window to vehicle has been smashed, allowing entry to vehicle. Items including tools and a vacuum cleaner stolen from within. 

     

    Charges to note :

     

    Evan JEWERS, 26 year old male, has been charged with 10 x Theft from a Shop (shoplifting) and Assault by Beating. He has been Remanded into Custody until 06th June 2024 for sentencing. 

     

     

    Please note that whilst there may have been other community impactive incidents that have occurred, I have not mentioned these as they have either already been reported separately by Trowbridge Police via our media channels or we are unable to provide details due to ongoing investigations.
