Assault and theft of dog in Queen Elizabeth Gardens

Wiltshire Police is appealing for witnesses after an assault and theft in Queen Elizabeth Gardens, Salisbury. 

The incident happened around 12.30pm on Monday 17 July 2017;  an altercation took place between a man and a woman where the woman was assaulted by the man who then took the dog she had with her. 

The victim received minor swelling to her face. 

PC Matthew Cable said:  "We area appealing for witnesses - if anyone heard or saw this incident or anything suspicious in this busy area of the city, around midday, please come forward.
"Also if you recognise the dog in the picture - perhaps you saw it in this area - please contact me."
