Bike Thefts – security advice

  • Register your bike at www.bikeregister.com or www.immobilise.com – these sites can also provide security marking kits. This way if your bike is stolen and then found it will help make sure you get it back
  • Invest in a good quality lock– D locks are the most effective especially if you secure the bike-stand, wheel rim and frame together
  • Never leave your bike unlocked in a public place – it can be taken in seconds
  • Lock your bike in a sensible place - avoid dark alleys, drain-pipes and posts and never leave it unlocked at night
