Please accept my apologies for the inconsistency in the Daily Crime Updates in recent weeks, due to leave, training and abstractions due to operational needs both Lee and myself have been out of the office more than usual.


We are both back now, and so the Daily Crime Updates will resume as usual.



Please find below details relating to the Community Impactive Crimes that have occurred since Friday 6th April, in the Westbury, Warminster, Tisbury and Mere areas :





Crime - Violence Against the Person

ALFRED STREET, WESTBURY - Suspect has hit a male over the back of the neck with a bottle causing a deep wound.


Two males have been arrested and Released Under Investigation, pending further enquiries.



Crime – Arson and Criminal Damage

WEST END, WESTBURY - Suspect has kicked the front door of a property causing minor damage.



Crime – Vehicle offences

PALOMINO PLACE, WESTBURY - Suspect has gained entry to victim's delivery vehicle and stolen a large quantity of cash, whilst the driver was out of the vehicle.





Crime - Burglary Business and Community

TYTHERINGTON, WARMINSTER – Suspect(s) have entered the property and have stolen copper pipe and wire, the property is in the process of being renovated.

CORTON, WILTSHIRE - Suspect/s have entered the victim's rear garden and removed 2 x 3ft high bronze statues of Lurchers sat down with one paw in the air. To the value of £14000.00.

VICARAGE STREET, WARMINSTER - Suspect has smashed the outer glazing of a small quarter pane window.

A3098, CHAPMANSLADE - Overnight suspect has opened the locked fuel door of a standalone generator, and have then taken 400 litres of red diesel from the generator.


Crime - Burglary Business and Community

CHAPMANSLADE, WESTBURY - Suspect has entered a building which houses a number of generators operated by an Electricity Company. They have noticed that on three occasions between the 1st April and 8th April, that a large quantity of fuel has been stolen.

ROUND HILL, MAIDEN BRADLEY – Suspect(s) have stolen up to 600 litres of heating fuel from a tank located outside the address.

CORTON, WILTSHIRE - Suspect has stolen some lead that was left on the ground by the side of victim's garage following a new roof being fitted. 








Crime - Burglary Residential (Dwelling)

PETTRIDGE LANE, MERE - Suspects have forced entry to victim’s home address via the back door and completed a messy search.
