Man dies following collision in Trowbridge

A Trowbridge man has died following a road traffic collision in the town. 

At approximately 2.20pm yesterday (26/10) a collision between a pedestrian and a lorry took place on Seymour Road. 

A local man in his 80s died at the scene;  the male driver of the lorry was taken to hospital to be treated for shock. 

Next of kin have been notified and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time. 

PC Tom Wilson said:"We are appealing for witnesses to this tragic collision which took place in a residential area.  If you heard or saw anything in relation to this incident - perhaps you have dash cam footage if you were travelling along this road or CCTV on your home - please come forward."
