Two teenagers arrested on suspicion of drug dealing

Alert message sent 02/11/2018 11:13:00

Information sent on behalf of Wiltshire Police

Our action around Pinehurst continues.

Yesterday, two teenagers were arrested in the area for drug dealing.

Both were 17-years-old old; one was caught with 20 bags of cannabis and the other with more than 10 wraps of class A drugs.

A house was also raided for drugs in the Tree Courts area of Pinehurst.

Sgt Nigel Kinderman, from the Community Tasking Team, said: "We have concerns over the amount of young people involved in the supply of drugs in areas of Swindon like Pinehurst.
"We are working with partner agencies, including Children Services, the Youth Offending Team and the Housing department, to tackle this.
"One of our concerns is parents of these children either appear to be unaware that they are mixed up in this dangerous world of drugs and weapons or they are simply unable to find a way to get them out of it.
"We appeal to all our communities to continue supporting us and our partner agencies in making the streets of Swindon safe. "Our relentless efforts will continue unabated until these young people are back in safe hands."

The two teenage boys have been released under investigation while our enquiries continue.
