Appeal to identify possible key witness in pub assault

We've released CCTV images of a possible key witness to an assault at a Swindon pub. 

Just before midnight on Friday 19 October, a man in his 20s was assaulted by a person known to him in the car park of the Messenger Pub in Covingham. 

The victim received a serious injury where the top part of his ear was lost.  

Det Con Stephanie England said:  "Through our enquiries we've managed to source pictures of a man we'd like to speak to who could be a key witness to this nasty assault. 
"If you are this person or you know the identity of this person, please contact me on 101 quoting crime reference 54180099470.  Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."

Two men, aged 21 and 25, were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, and have been released under investigation while our enquiries continue.
