EDWARD STREET, WESTBURY, (MORRISONS LTD) (EG11) A male has ran out of the store with a bag of alcohol over his shoulder without making payment. Police conducted an area search and arrested the male suspect nearby on suspicion of theft, assault Police, and later in custody for possession of a class A drug. The stolen property was recovered. A male in his 40’s from Westbury remains in Police custody at this time.


*UPDATE* Robert HELSBY, aged 46, of 38 Sandalwood Road, Westbury attended court and pleaded guilty to theft of alcohol from Morrisons in Westbury and assaulting a Police officer on the 1st Nov. Having previously been on a 16 week suspended sentence for historical shop lifting and public Order Offences in Westbury. He was given a further prison sentence of 10 weeks for these 2 offences and in total will now serve 26 weeks in Prison
