Information sent on behalf of Wiltshire Police

*Witness Appeal*
We are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was assaulted in Warminster on Saturday night (8/12/18).
Officers were called to Weymouth Street shortly after midnight and the victim, a 16-year-old boy, was taken to the Royal United Hospital with a head injury.
DC Edward Roe, from Central CID, said: “The victim has been diagnosed with a minor bleed on the brain, but it appears there has been no lasting damage and he should be discharged later today (10/12/18).

“We have been carrying out extensive enquiries, including examining CCTV footage from a nearby bar, and are making good progress with our investigation. “However, we are hoping the public can assist us. We know Warminster town centre is busy on a Saturday night so are urging anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward and speak to police.” Nobody has been arrested at this stage.
Anyone with information should contact Central CID on 101, quoting crime reference 54180116445. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
