Alert message sent 11/03/2019 09:26:00

Information sent on behalf of Wiltshire Police

We are appealing for witnesses after a man died in a fatal road traffic collision near Broad Hinton yesterday.

The crash, between a blue Chrysler Voyager and a grey Peugeot 106, happened at 3.18pm yesterday (10/03/19) on the A4361 northbound, prior to Broad Hinton.

For reasons which are not yet known, the two vehicles collided head on and sadly, the driver of the Peugeot, a man in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time.

A coach containing 90 young people was associated with the collision, but none of the occupants were injured in any way.

The road was closed for around eight hours while we carried out collision investigation work.

We are appealing for anyone with information about the collision, including anyone who has dash cam footage of either of the vehicles involved, to call PC John Armstrong from Tri-Force on 101, quoting log 224 of yesterday (10/03/19). Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
