A 50-year-old man from Salisbury has been arrested on suspicion of affray and criminal damage.

All three are currently in custody at Melksham Police Station.

Detective Sergeant Kerry Lawes, from Salisbury CID, said: "Having spoken to a number of witnesses, we know this was a frightening incident for those in the car park at the time.

"However, no weapons were used during the assault on the two men, although we believe a tyre iron was used to damage a vehicle.

"It is also important to clarify that this was not a random attack, it involved a group of people who are known to each other.

"The car park would have been very busy at that time of the evening, so we are appealing for anyone who was there and witnessed the altercation to come forward. There will also be people who may have dash cam footage which could prove vital in confirming the details of what happened yesterday.

"We would urge anyone who has information to come forward and speak to police."

Anyone with information should call Wiltshire Police on 101, quoting crime reference number 54190032544. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
