Alert message sent 11/04/2019 11:42:00

Information sent on behalf of Wiltshire Police

We’re appealing for information following a burglary in Rowde yesterday (10/04).
A house in Springfield Road belonging to a man in his 80s was broken into sometime between 9am and 2.50pm.
Two glass doors were smashed to gain access to the house and a search was carried out inside – at this stage, it is not clear if anything has been stolen.
Det Con Cerys Powell said: “We have conducted some house to house enquiries and we now believe that the burglary may have taken place in the morning at around 9.30am but we are keen to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious people or vehicles in the area between 9am and 2.50pm.
“If you were driving in the area and have dash-cam footage, please get in touch as you could have captured something which may seem irrelevant at first glance, but could be crucial to our investigation.”
Call 101 and quote crime reference number 54190034902.
Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
