Motorcyclist seriously injured following collision near Calne

We’re appealing for witnesses following a serious collision near Calne yesterday. 

At approximately 5.30pm on Monday 20 May, a motorcyclist collided with a Land Rover Discovery on the A3102 Swindon Road at Hilmarton. 

The motorcyclist, aged in his 20s from Gloucestershire, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol. His injuries are described as life changing. 

The driver of the Land Rover - a man in his 40s from Cirencester - was not injured. 

The road was closed for approximately four hours while collision investigators attended the scene and the vehicles were recovered.

We’d like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision as well as anyone who was driving in the area who may have dash-cam footage.
