Two teenagers arrested in connection with Wroughton house fire

Detectives investigating a serious house fire in Wroughton earlier this year have arrested two teenagers.

A property in The Pitchens suffered significant damage in a blaze on 30/03/19, with the owners losing all their possessions.

It is believed the fire was started deliberately so has been investigated by Swindon CID.

Two boys, aged 15 and 16, have been arrested in connection with the incident and released under investigation while our enquiries continue.

Det Sgt Justin Downes, from Swindon CID, said: “We are continuing to appeal for anyone who may have information which could assist with our enquiries, including anyone who witnessed anything suspicious on the night of the fire, to contact us.

“Any piece of information, no matter how small it may seem, could prove crucial.”
