Witness appeal after 12-year-old cyclist injured in collision in Trowbridge

We are appealing for witnesses after a 12-year-old girl was seriously injured in a collision between a bike and a car in Trowbridge.

It happened in Silver Street Lane at around 3.20pm yesterday (24/07/19).

The young cyclist, who was involved in a collision with a Toyota Aygo, sustained a serious head injury and was airlifted to Bristol Children's Hospital.

The road was closed for a number of hours to allow investigation work to take place and reopened at around 7.15pm.

The Wiltshire Police Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have dash cam footage which could assist with their enquiries.
