Alert message sent 31/07/2019 09:05:00

Information sent on behalf of Wiltshire Police

Good Morning,

This morning I would like to update you on the investigation into 46 vehicles being damaged on the evening of 8th July 2019 in the Warminster, Westbury and surrounding villages.
This large scale investigation was coordinated by the Community Policing Team in Warminster.

As a result of the work completed so far a 19 year old male from the Warminster area has been interviewed in relation to the offences and enquiries are ongoing.

Please can those victims ensure they return the completed paperwork they have been sent, in relation to the damage to their vehicles. There may be a few victims yet to received these forms which are vital to ensure any offender(s) are linked to each offence. If you have not received the pack of documents please email cptwest@wiltshire.pnn.police.uk and we will send out a further copy.

I urge all members of the community to think back to the evening of 8th July 2019, did you witness anything linked to the investigation?, do you have private CCTV which may show passing vehicles and persons in the area? etc. If you think your CCTV will assist this investigation, please contact the above email address, and a local officer will get back to you.

Please bear in mind this investigation and enquiries will take sometime due to the number of offences.

I would like to add my sincere thanks to all those members of the Public, businesses and the Wiltshire Police Officers and Staff who have committed so much time already, helping to investigate this mindless act of vandalism.
