Hare Coursing If you believe you are witnessing a crime in progress always call 999 as soon as possible, if suspects have already left you can call 101. This is to ensure that your local police team have the best opportunity to be aware of hare coursers in the area and the best chances of locating them.

Staff at the location have noticed an unknown vehicle entering the site, staff have witnessed 2 males in a Toyota Hilux running out of the open sheds at the back of the farm. The males took 5 batteries from the shed which they have thrown in the back of their vehicle - which was already full of items.

Unknown suspect/s have stolen an 8ft x 4ft IFOR WILLIAMS trailer from a driveway last night. The trailer had mesh sides and a drop down back. On the trailer was a HALO double ladder and a tall step ladder.

Unknown suspect/s have driven a 4 x 4 vehicle across land and tyre tracks have been left behind. Suspect/s have used unknown sharp implement to cut through fencing, in order to access another field, moved a gate aside to access a further field and then left the area.

Unknown suspect/s have gained entry to a barn by breaking the padlock. Once inside several bags of horse feed, to the value of £80, has been stolen. They have attempted to break into the tack room, but were unsuccessful.

Two unknown suspects have entered the yard by unknown means and captured on CCTV removing a hydraulic breaker from a digger and using a wheelbarrow to take the breaker off site.

Between the hours of 0430-0730 it is believed hare coursing activity has been taking place on private farm land as there have been fresh tracks left on crop fields.

Unknown suspect/s have entered a paddock by cutting a padlock that was securing the gate. The reporting person believes that bolt cutters have been used. Once inside the paddock, a maroon IFOR WILLIAMS Double horse trailer, to the value of £800, has been taken out of the field and pushed by hand to the main road near the location approx 220 yards away. Nothing else has been stolen.

Unknown person/s have cut very large holes in hawthorn boundary fence making it insecure for livestock and horses. 3 x holes cut in hedge looks like cut with a saw.

Unknown suspect has entered a building site as a trespasser by moving the fencing. They have used the dumper which was parked in the yard to smash up and open the container where they have stolen a disc cutter and larcher plate. This has caused no damage to the dumper. The value of goods stolen comes to approx £1000.

Reporting person has captured on CTTV an unknown silver vehicle, possibly land rover or 4x4, has smashed the gate and entry has been gained into the yard. Nothing appears taken at this time, as alarm sounded which was the likely cause of the suspect/s leaving so quickly.
At around 1400hrs two vehicles with approximately 10 males and dogs were spotted on farmland. They had entered the land by ripping down a metal gate and removing defences put in place to try and stop hare coursers.
One of the vehicles was described as a green Honda CRV, no reg. The group has driven over drilled crops causing damage, before making their way out of the field. Avoiding further measures the landowner had taken to discourage hare coursing.
Later that evening, a further visit to the farmland was made by unknown persons. Whereby again a vehicle was driven over the drilled crops.
A neighbouring farm in Berkshire area also targeted, and reported to Police.

Unknown suspect/s have entered a stables through open gate and taken a wheelbarrow, barrel of shavings and a barrel of hay.

Reporting person has 3 horses, one of which had a plaited mane. When checking on the horses it was noticed that the plaited mane had been unplaited, knotted and small sections cut off - reporting person concerned that particular horse was marked for potential theft.

Unknown suspect/s gained entry into a farm outbuilding by using an unknown implement to cut a padlock from the door. Once inside they have stolen a Red Honda 2015 Quad Bike worth approx £5k.. No other items stolen or moved.
