54200027638  17th March 2020 21:15 hours. A garage was broken into in Baydon Close, Trowbridge. Various items were stolen including tools, back blower, hedge trimmers, drills etc. Both males and females were seen in the area prior to the theft and a vehicle seen shortly after the garage which was in a block was broken into.

54200027667 A window was damaged at 15 Roundstone Street Trowbridge between 14/3/2020 and 17/3/2020. The glass was smashed and the metal window frame bent.

Appeal for witnesses following assault in Trowbridge which left man with broken jaw

Detectives from Central CID are investigating an assault which occurred in Trowbridge and are appealing to anyone who may have any information to come forward. 

At approximately 12.45pm on Monday 9 March, an 18-year-old man was walking along Wyke Road when he was approached by a man on a bike who was cycling towards him.

The man on the bike punched the victim to the face causing him a broken jaw which required surgery in hospital.

The suspect is described as a white man, aged in his 20s, with dark hair and a fringe. He was wearing a black hooded coat and was cycling an old red mountain bike. 

Det Con Rebecca Taylor said: “This was a violent assault which occurred after the victim and the suspect almost collided on the pavement. When the victim challenged the man, he was punched to the face and sustained a nasty injury to his jaw. 

“We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area, including any drivers with dash cam footage or residents who may have CCTV.”
