Over the past week we have experienced three keyless theft of motor vehicles in Royal Wootton Bassett. This is from Windmill Road and Morestone Road. Two of the vehicles have been BMW's and the other a Mercedes. Please follow the below crime prevention advice to avoid becoming a victim:
Place car keys in a security/Faraday pouch when not in use. These block the signal from your vehicle being captured using electronic devices
Don’t leave car keys near the front door.
Disable key fobs when not in use
Install a tracker. This will increase the chances of vehicle recovery if stolen.
