PC 70394 LAYTON AND PC 70403 KENT conducted speed checks in Warminster this afternoon (09.04.24). These were conducted at Westbury Road and Victoria Road in WARMINSTER. All vehicles were travelling within the speed limit and no offences were committed. Members of the public and local residents were pleased to see police conducting speed checks in their area.

Speeding falls into the category of the fatal 5. The locations chosen today are located at the points that motorists enter the town and are expected to decrease their speed at these points. There is no reasonable excuse for people to carry on their previous speed into a new speed zone.
