Getting You Home Safe: Making Swindon nights safer this festive season

As the festive season kicks off, a new campaign is here to make sure everyone in Swindon can enjoy a night out and get home safely.

The Getting You Home Safe initiative, led by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Wiltshire, brings together local partners to create a safer, more welcoming night-time experience in Swindon.

What’s happening in Swindon?

Visible support on the streets: Extra police officers and community wardens will be out and about.

Taxi marshals: Helping you find a safe ride home from busy spots.

Trained venue staff: Offering schemes like Ask for Angela if you need discreet help.

Volunteers on hand: Groups like Night Angels and Night Wardens will be around to provide reassurance and assistance.

This campaign is all about partnership between The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, Wiltshire Police, Swindon Borough Council, local pubs and clubs, transport providers, and community groups who are all working together to make sure everyone feels safe when enjoying Swindon’s nightlife.
