South West PCC’s and police forces unite to tackle child criminal exploitation across the region |
||
|
Criminal gangs are targeting children and teenagers across the South West, using fear and violence to force them into transporting drugs and money across county lines. This is called child criminal exploitation, and it can have devastating consequences for young people and their families. For the first time, police forces and Police and Crime Commissioners from Wiltshire, Avon & Somerset, Devon & Cornwall, Dorset and Gloucestershire have come together to launch a regional campaign on TikTok and Snapchat. These platforms are where young people spend much of their time, so we’re using short, impactful videos to help them recognise the signs of exploitation and know where to get help. What to look out for: If you’re worried about a child or young person, help is available. Visit Spots the Signs. Stop the Crime for advice and support. | ||
