Salisbury man stands trial for rape and assault

The trial of a man from Salisbury accused of two counts of rape, grievous bodily harm (GBH), and actual bodily harm (ABH) got under way this week.

Scott McKenzie, formerly of Gainsborough Close, pleaded not guilty to all charges at Winchester Crown Court in September 2025.

McKenzie is charged with raping and assaulting a woman in Catherine Street, Salisbury, in December 2020.

He is also accused of assaulting and raping a woman in Prague, Czech Republic, in May 2023.

The trial started on Monday, April 20, and is expected to last around four weeks.
