Alert message sent 19/02/2019 10:24:00

Information sent on behalf of Wiltshire Police

A number of vehicles had their tyres slashed in Trowbridge overnight on 14/15 February and we are appealing for any witnesses to the incidents to come forward.

A Citroen C2 and a Toyota Avensis were parked in Holbrook Street when they were targeted and had tyres slashed.

A Nissan X-Trail, a Vauxhall Astra, Nissan Navara, Peugeot 207 and Toyota Avensis parked in Studley Rise were also targeted. It is believed a sharp instrument was used to slash the tyres on the vehicles.

PC Matt Fry is investigating the incidents.

“We believe all these incidents are linked and would urge anyone who may have seen or heard any suspicious activity in these areas overnight on February 14-15 to get in touch," he said. "Do you have CCTV footage which may be relevant to our enquiries?

“This is mindless criminal damage which causes a lot of inconvenience to the owners of the vehicles.

“If you can help, call us on 101 and quote crime reference number 54190015742.”

Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
