CRIME UPDATE (MELKSHAM) - 17/06/19 – 25/06/19

HAMPTON PARK WEST, MELKSHAM, (ED12) On the evening of the 15th June an offender has stolen a bike from secure locked bike shed.

BEANACRE ROAD, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Between 1400-1700 hours on the 13th June an offender has used a sharp implement to damage the wing mirror of a park and unattended vehicle.

BYRON CLOSE, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Overnight on the 16th June an offender has entered the communal area of a property and has stolen a pedal cycle from the communal area. Property is a Dawes Racer pedal bike.

BATH ROAD, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Sometime between 1255 and 1310 hours an offender has stolen the unattended handbag of a victim while she was out shopping. The bag was a Navy Blue Radley bag containing a purse with bank cards and cash.

MURRAY WALK, MELKSHAM, (ED11) At around 1855 hours a male offender has used a brick to smash the windscreen on a parked and unattended vehicle.

Crime - Drug Offence

LOWBOURNE, MELKSHAM, UK (KING GEORGE V PARK) (BCU: EE, Section: ED, Sector: EZ, Beat: ED11, WILTS) Officers patrolling King George 5th Playing Field have seen 3 males acting suspiciously. One male drove off in a vehicle but the other two males were stop searched under the misuse of drugs act. A quantity of cannabis was seized. Both males who are in their teens from Melksham are currently under investigation for possession with intent to supply.

ASHVILLE CENTRE, COMMERCE WAY, MELKSHAM, (ED12) Following a report of a youth waving around 2 metal poles, the Police attended and arrested the male for possession of an offensive weapon. The Youth who cannot be named, was charged and will appear at Youth Court at a later date.

BATH ROAD, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Sometime in the last 2 weeks an offender has kicked off both wing mirrors on a parked and unattended vehicle in the car park.

POULSHOT ROAD, POULSHOT, (ED13) Around 1250 hours on the 21st June an offender has entered an insecure workshop to a property and taken Husqvarna chainsaw, value  £300.

Crime - Violence Against the Person

HIGH STREET, MELKSHAM, (ED11). Following a report of a disorder at 0213 hours, the Police have attended and arrested a male on suspicion of assault. The male, in his 20’s from Melksham was later released RUI (Under Police Investigation).

WAVERLEY GARDENS, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Overnight on the 22nd June offenders have ripped off the passenger side wing mirror from a parked and unattended vehicle.

Crime - Burglary Residential (Shed/Garage)

BEANACRE, (ED12)  Sometime in the last month, offenders have gained entry to an unlocked wooden shed and removed 2 x drills, 1 x box of drill bits, 1 x hedge trimmer, 1 x jigsaw and 1 x tyre compressor. The offenders also gained entry to an unlocked car and stolen a tyre from within.

WESTERN WAY, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Overnight on the 21st June an offender has stolen a mountain bike from outside a premises.

HORNBEAM CRESCENT, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Sometime between the 6th and 18th June offenders have taken around 9 metres of lead from the roof of a property.
