Warning to residents in Tidworth following suspicious activity

Police in Tidworth are urging residents to be vigilant following a suspicious incident in Churchill Close. 

At approximately 2.15am on August 31, a man was seen acting suspiciously at a house in the street. 

The man is believed to have had a large metal pole which he was using to try and obtain items from inside the house.

When he was challenged by the occupant he ran off in the direction of the woods behind Churchill Close. It is not believed anything was stolen during the incident. 

He is described as wearing a cap under a hooded top. 

PC Andrew Morgan said: “There have been a number of similar incidents in the area in the last month and we’d like to remind residents to be security conscious. Do not leave any valuable items within easy reach of doors and windows and please report any suspicious activity immediately.”
