Alert message sent 01/10/2019 09:17:00

Information sent on behalf of Wiltshire Police

We're appealing for the owner of a vehicle to come forward after it was involved in a collision in Melksham.

On Friday 27 September at at around 4.20pm, the vehicle was parked on Bath Road in the town between The Bear pub and the turning for Sainsbury's when a van collided with it causing scrapes to its side.

The driver of the van failed to stop but officers managed to identify him later; however, when we returned to the scene of the collision the other damaged vehicle had driven off.

PC Tom Carver said:  "We'd like to find the owner of this vehicle as part of our on-going investigation.
"If this vehicle is yours or you know who it may belong to, please contact us."

You can contact us by calling 101 quoting crime reference number 54190096336.
