Witness appeal to attempted phone theft

We are appealing for any witnesses to come forward after an attempted phone theft in Shrewton. 

At around 9.30pm on Monday 23 December, a woman in her 20s was walking along the High Street, near to the junction with London Road, when she was approached by a male who try to snatch her phone from her. 

The woman resisted and the male fled the scene;  he was described as white with dark brown hair, clean shaven, in his late teens, approx. 5’6” tall, of skinny build and was wearing a black tracksuit jacket with red stripes on the shoulder. 

Although shaken the woman was unharmed.
