Crime - Drug Offence

BATH ROAD, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Following a Police patrol at the Underpass on bath Road, Officers stopped and searched a group of 7 youths following the smell of cannabis. One female youth was found in possession of Cannabis. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

Crime - Theft

HONEYSUCKLE CLOSE, MELKSHAM (ED11) At around 0330 hours an offender has attempted to steal the lead from above the bay window to a property. Possibly disturbed by the dog barking. Nothing stolen at this time.

CHURCH STREET, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Following a Police stop check on a vehicle, a male Suspect arrested for driving otherwise in accordance of a licence and further arrested for arrested on suspicion of supply of Class A drugs. The male, in his 20’s from Melksham was later released RUI (Under Police Investigation)

CHADWICK CLOSE, BOWERHILL,  (ED12) An offender has smashed a window to a property by throwing a rock.

Crime - Burglary Residential (Dwelling)

THE FRIARS, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Following a report of a burglary, Police attended, located and arrested a male and female on suspicion of burglary. Upon search, the female was found to be in possession of cannabis and was also arrested for this. The female youth, and the male in his 20’s (both from Melksham) have been released  RUI (Under Police Investigation)

WEAVERS CROFTS, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Overnight on the 2nd Jan offenders have damaged and removed a parking bollard from a private parking space. The pole has been removed and placed on the pavement. The screws holding the pole have been bent and the tarmac in the parking space around the pole has been cracked all around.

BATH ROAD, SEEND, (ED13) overnight on the 3rd Jan offenders have pulled off the driver's exterior door handle to a parked an unattended  vehicle.

GREAT CHALFIELD, MELKSHAM, (ED12) Overnight on the 4th Jan offenders have entered a building by smashing the back window, entry has been gained and untidy search has been conducted and power tools have been stolen  Property includes: Drill driver set £190.00 & Chop Saw £600.00.

TRENT CRESCENT, MELKSHAM,  (ED11) A male offender has entered a property via an insecure rear door before being disturbed and making off. It is not believed any items were stolen. No description of suspect available.

LOXLEY CLOSE, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Following a Police stop check of a vehicle, it was searched by officers and the male occupant was found in possession of herbal cannabis. The male in his 20’s from Lyneham was dealt with by way of a Cannabis Street Warning.
