Appeal to trace potential witnesses to fatal A350 collision in Melksham

We are trying to identify potential witnesses to a fatal collision on the A350 in Melksham which happened earlier this month.

It happened on the Beanacre Road shortly before 6pm on Saturday 18 January and involved a grey Skoda Superb and a pedestrian, named by his family as 60-year-old Thomas Collis, who sadly died from his injuries.

Our investigation is currently ongoing and we have been examining dash cam footage.

This has identified a number of vehicles which could have drivers or passengers who witnessed something which could assist our enquiries.

These are:

- A silver Mark 5 Vauxhall Astra Estate (2004-2010)
- A black 2008 BMW 3 series convertible with a hard top and possibly black alloys.
- A white Ford Transit Connect van with a roof rack and non-standard alloys.
- A Hyundai Kona, colour unknown
- A white Mercedes Sprinter crew cab
- A white Suzuki Swift.

If you were the driver or passenger of any of these vehicles then please call PC Rich Hatch, from the Collision Investigation Unit, on 101, quoting reference 54200006148.
