BACK LANE, GREAT HINTON, (ED13) Between the 19th-23rd March offenders have stolen around 25 Gallons of Red Diesel from a tractor.

SAVERNAKE AVENUE, MELKSHAM, (ED11) At around 0400 hours a resident was woken up by sounds of someone banging on the garden gate. Damage to the garden gate was discovered in the morning. No persons seen.

Transport - Road related offence

A350, WESTERN WAY, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Officers on patrol carried out a stop check on a vehicle. Enquiries led them to suspect the male was drink driving, the male then failed to provide a specimen of breath. He was arrested for fail to provide. Jaroslan FALAK, 38, of Malvern Close, Melksham was later released and charged with failing to provide a specimen of breath. He will appear at Salisbury Mags on the 24th April.

Crime – Arson and Criminal Damage

MILLENNIUM RIVERSIDE WALK, MELKSHAM (ED11) An offender via unknown means has killed a swan. They have also taken eggs from the nest and smashed them. We have put out a Facebook appeal however we are keeping an open mind as to whether this may have been an incident with a fox or another animal. Enquiries continue.

CORSHAM ROAD, WHITLEY, (ED12) Between the 5th and 20th March offenders have drilled the lock for the patio doors to gain entry to a property. Jewellery has been stolen from within.

MELKSHAM OAK COMMUNITY SCHOOL, (ED12) suspects have gained entry to the school gym by the fire exit - no damage caused and nothing has been taken.

Crime - Drug Offence

QUEENSWAY, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Following Police attending the location following reports of possible drug dealing, a male (from Melksham) was stopped and search for drugs. A small quantity of Class A drugs were discovered. Enquiries are ongoing at this time.

A350, MELKSHAM, (ED12) Officers on routine patrol stopped a vehicle. They suspected the male driver was under the influence of drugs. The male failed a roadside drug swipe test and was arrested on suspicion of drug driving. The male, from Melksham was later released RUI (Under Police Investigation)
