Information sent on behalf of Wiltshire Police

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of burglary after two high performance cars were stolen during a break-in near Warminster.

In the early hours of Friday 6 March, thieves stole a blue Porsche 911 and a green Audi Avant from an address in Longbridge Deverill.

Following joint investigations between our officers and colleagues at Avon and Somerset Police, the Audi was recovered in Bristol on Tuesday 10 March.  The Porsche was then recovered in Frome on Sunday 29 March.  Both cars will be returned to their owners.

Two men from Frome were arrested by officers from Avon and Somerset Police on Sunday 29 March; a 23-year-old and 35-year-old were taken in to custody at Melksham Police Station and have now been released under investigation.

PC Becki Mitchell said:  "This is a good example of successful joint working with a neighbouring force to retrieve two high value stolen vehicles.
"Thanks to solid investigative work in both police services we have been able to identify the suspects and stolen property."
