HINTON LANE, STEEPLE ASHTON, (ED13) Overnight on the 3rd April offenders have climbed the gate into the field and stolen 4 Sheep hurdles which are used to keep the sheep in the field.

ROSEMARY WAY, MELKSHAM, (ED11) A Pit Bike has been stolen from the back garden of a property which was later found dumped nearby and recovered. No damage caused.

Crime - Violence Against the Person

LITTLETON, SEMINGTON, (ED13) 5th April 2020. While doing enquiries into a report of ASB, a male suspect has coughed in the direction of a PCSO stating he has corona virus. The male was later arrested for assault on an emergency worker and also arrested for a theft and public order that happened at the Premier Inn in Trowbridge back on the 1st of March. Felix ROONEY, 42, of Littleton, Semington was later released and charged with theft, public order and assaulting an emergency worker. He is due to appear at Salisbury Mags on the 15th May.

DORSET CRESCENT, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Following a report of a group of Group of youths hanging around near to the Primrose Nature reserve against COVID-19 regulations, local Police units attended and dispersed the group. One was searched due to his behaviour and found to be in possession of cannabis. Enquiries are ongoing.

Transport - Road related offence

BOWERHILL, MELKSHAM (ED12) Officers on patrol carried out a check on a vehicle. The driver as found to have no driving licence, no insurance and no Tax. The vehicle seized s.165 of the RTA. The driver has been reported for summons in relation to all the offences listed.

BERRYFIELD LANE, MELKSHAM, (ED12) At around 1.40am a Police unit responded to a report of a male loitering in an area near a farm. Officers have attended and located a male who confirmed he was is in breach of the COVID-19 regulations. The male has been issued with a COVID-19 ticket.

Crime - Burglary Business and Community

VERBENA COURT, MELKSHAM, (ED12) At around 2300 hours on the 11th April a male suspect has entered the CO OP store and stolen a large quantity of cash from the safe and some alcohol. Police enquiries led to the arrest of a male on suspicion of burglary on the 12th April. The male, in his 40’s, from Bath, has been released RUI (Under Police Investigation)

PLAY PARK, QUEENSWAY, MELKSHAM, (ED12) At around 7.30 pm on the 12th April 2 offenders have been seen removing grass matting from inside a fenced off area that was intended for the children’s play park and loaded it into a nearby parked car before driving off. Enquiries are ongoing at this time.
