Witness appeal after cyclist dies

Alert message sent 01/05/2020 18:42:00

Information sent on behalf of Wiltshire Police

We're appealing for witnesses after a cyclist died while out riding in Seend today (01/05).

Officers were called to Row Lane in the village at just after 10am after a member of the public spotted the man, who was in his 80s, lying in the road.

It appears he came off his bike and no other vehicle was involved.

Sadly, he died at the scene.

Ambulance also attended and the road was closed for almost four hours.

His family has been informed and our thoughts are with them at this time.

Anyone who can help in anyway should call us on 101 and quote log 61 of today.
