LOWER WOODROW, FOREST, MELKSHAM, (ED12) Overnight on the 26th April offenders have entered a yard to a premises and stolen two generators from the site.

KING STREET, MELKSHAM, (ED11) At 0240 hours on the 28th April officers on patrol stop checked a vehicle driving erratically. The female driver was given a roadside breath test which was positive and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of drink driving. Kerry HANKIN, 28, of Kingsfield Leaze, Bradford on Avon was later released and charged with driving whilst over the prescribed limit. She will appear at Salisbury Mags on the 29th May.

CRANESBILL ROAD, MELKSHAM, (ED12) between the 27th-29th April an offender has gained entry to a stone built shed and stolen a Trek Merlin 6 Orange Mountain Bike with Black MAG Wheels.

HONEYSUCKLE CLOSE, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Overnight on the 28th April and offender has stolen a pushbike from the back garden shed. A GIANT Pallen Mountain bike.

CORNFLOWER WAY, MELKSHAM,  (ED11) Following a report from a member of the public, officers attended Cornflower Way at 1800 hours. A male was smoking cannabis in the park. The male, in his 20’s from Melksham will be given an Adult Caution for possession of a Class B drug.

BANK STREET, MELKSHAM, (ED11) At around 0130 hours on the 30th April officers on patrol stop checked a male who was intoxicated. Enquiries established he was wanted on warrant for offences in another force area for failing to appear at court. The male was arrested. While in custody he damaged a camera in his cell so has also been charged with criminal damage. Nigel DUANE, 23, from Caretakers Close, Melksham will appear at Salisbury Mags on the 29th May.

A361 SEMINGTON, (ED13) at around 0130 hours on the 30th April officers on patrol stop checked a moving vehicle. Enquiries with the driver established that they did not have valid insurance. The vehicle was seized and taken off the road. The male driver, in his 40’s from Devizes was reported for the driving offences.

A350, MELKSHAM, (ED12) At around 1740 hours officers on patrol stop checked a moving vehicle following erratic driving. On speaking to the driver, officers conducted a drug swipe test which tested positive for class A. The male driver was then arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drugs. The male, in his 30’s from Trowbridge was released RUI (Under Police Investigation)

HIGH STREET, MELKSHAM, (ED11) A male youth was arrested after kicking a shop door which has caused significant damage and shouting racial abuse. The male, from Melksham has been released on Police bail pending further enquiries.

ROW LANE, SEEND, (ED13) Male with a pedal cycle has died after a road traffic incident – Press Release - We are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist died while out riding in Seend. Officers were called to Row Lane in the village at just after 10am on the 1st May after a member of the public spotted the man, who was in his 80s, lying in the road. It appears he came off his bike and no other vehicle was involved. Sadly, he died at the scene. Ambulance also attended and the road was closed for almost four hours. His family has been informed and our thoughts are with them at this time.  Anyone who witnessed the incident should call us on 101 and quote incident 54200041200

HIGH STREET, MELKSHAM, (ED11) A male entered the store and smashed items off the shelves and then smashed up the shelving. Police attended and arrested a male on suspicion of criminal damage. The male, in his 30’s, from Melksham is currently still in Police Custody at this time

LOWBOURNE, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Between the 1st and 3rd May, offenders have removed and stolen a rear panel on a vehicle. Attached to this panel were the rear light clusters and the rear number plate, all of which have been stolen.
