BRECON CLOSE, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Overnight on the 3rd May an offender has stolen an ornamental windmill from the front garden of a property

BLACKMORE ROAD, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Officers on Patrol stopped a vehicle. The male driver was searched and a quantity of Cannabis was recovered along with cash. The male was subsequently arrested for possession with intent to supply. The male, in his 20’s from the Melksham area has been released RUI (Under Police Investigation)

FORESTERS PARK ROAD, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Police stop checked a male and conducted a drugs search. The male was found in possession of a small amount of Cannabis. Enquiries are ongoing at this time.

Crime – Criminal Damage

AVON ROAD, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Overnight on the 3rd May an offender has smashed the rear window of a parked and unattended car and 'keyed' the car both sides. Enquiries are ongoing with consideration to the offender potentially being known to the victim in this case.

Crime - Drug Offence

WOODROW ROAD, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Officers on duty stop checked a vehicle, enquiries led to all 3 occupants being arrested on suspicion of being involved in the supply of Class A drugs after a large amount of Crack and Heroin was recovered. The female driver was further arrested for driving whilst unfit. The vehicle they were using was seized. All 3 have been released under RUI (Under Police Investigation). See previous press release.

MELKSHAM, (ED11) Following a police investigation into the supply of class A drugs, a male in his 20’s from Melksham has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A. The male been released under RUI (Under Police Investigation).

Transport - Road related offence

HALIFAX ROAD, MELKSHAM (ED12) Officers on patrol stop checked a vehicle. Enquires established the driver had no valid current insurance. The vehicle was seized and removed from the road under a section 165 of the Road Traffic Act. The male, in his 30’s from Melksham has been reported for driving offences

Crime - Burglary

CORNCOCKLE CLOSE, MELKSHAM, (ED12) Offenders have broken into a property on the West Wiltshire Trading Estate in Westbury and stole a number of vehicles and driven them off. Following a call from a member of the public, officers attended Corncockle Close and have located the vehicles and arrested 4 suspects, one from Nottingham and 3 from the Melksham area. The 3 males and one female have been released on Police Bail. Enquiries are ongoing at this time. (See separate Press Release with appeal for witnesses)

CLOVER CLOSE, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Overnight on the 10th May  an offender has stolen a motor scooter from a driveway of a property. The bike was later recovered on the 11th May in Spa Road near the Canberra centre.
