SNARLTON LANE, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Overnight an offender has caused damage to a parked and unattended vehicle by using a sharp implement to scratch the paintwork.

Crime - Violence Against the Person

FOREST ROAD, MELKSHAM, (AVAD CONVENIENCE STORE) (ED11) Following a report of a disorder at the location, Police attended and established an intoxicated male had smashed alcohol bottles in the store, and caused damage to a nearby vehicle and left the scene. Officers later located the male and arrested him on suspicion of Criminal damage. The male also assaulted officers by kicking and spitting at them, so was further arrested for assaulting an emergency worker. Jason WYNTER, 49, from Salisbury was later charged with assault and remanded to court.

Crime - Burglary Residential (Dwelling)

DEVONSHIRE PLACE, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Police attended an address in the early hours of the morning following a report of a male sighted in the garden of a property. On arrival, and very intoxicated male was arrested on suspicion of Burglary, theft and vehicle interference. The male, in his 20’s from the Melksham area was later released RUI (Under Police Investigation)

KING GEORGE V PLAYING FIELD SKATE PARK, LOWBOURNE, sometime over the 22nd-23rd May offenders have cut through padlock and chain to the Skate Park and removed it.

STONEY GUTTER, WEST ASHTON, (ED13) Following information from a member of the public, a vehicle was stop check by officers and the male driver has tested positive to a road side drug swipe and subsequently arrested. Thomas ALBA, 23, from Swindon was later released and charged with failing to provide a specimen for analysis. He will appear at Salisbury Mags on the 31st July.

HIGH STREET, MELKSHAM,  (ED11) A resident was disturbed by males who climbed up on a nearby roof and smashed a window to a property in an attempt to gain entry. No entry gained. Nothing stolen.

BANK STREET, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Officers on routine patrol have stop checked a vehicle. The driver was given a drug swipe test which he failed. He was arrested on suspicion of drug driving. The male, in his 30’s from the Melksham area was later released RUI (Under Police Investigation)

SNARLTON LANE, MELKSHAM, (ED11) On two occasions between the 22-24 May an offender has entered the rear garden of a property and stolen a total of 12 Carp from the garden pond.

BOWERHILL, MELKSHAM (ED12) Officers on routine patrol stop checked a vehicle and conducted a drug swipe test on the male driver which tested positive for drugs. The male, in his  30’s from the Melksham area was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and later released RUI (Under Police Investigation).
