Moonrakers stabbing update

Following the weekend assault near to the Moonrakers Pub in Swindon, a total of seven people have been arrested and the majority released on conditional bail. 

We were called to a disturbance outside the Premier Store on Whitworth Road (opposite the Moonrakers Pub) at approximately 11.30pm on Saturday 13 June involving a group of people. 

A 17-year-old male received stab wounds and was given medical treatment at the scene by paramedics; he was taken to hospital but has now been discharged. 

We arrested six local males aged 16, 17, 19, 19, 23 and 26 on suspicion of causing Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH), and a 26-year-old local woman on suspicion of assisting an offender.  Six have been released on conditional bail, however, one of the 19-year-old males is still in custody as he was also wanted for a separate matter.
