Information sent on behalf of Wiltshire Police

Good afternoon all,

It has been a busy couple of weeks for both the Neighbourhood and Response sides of policing in Trowbridge, with the easing of the Covid 19 restrictions seeing an unwelcome return to business as usual.

We're starting to see an increase in shoplifting, shed breaks and a return to usual levels of traffic on our roads, so a this is a good reminder that we need to remain vigilant and remember to take the usual precautions to protect our belongings.

We have recently recovered a number of push bikes from an address in Trowbridge and suspect these may be unreported stolen items.  If you have been the victim of a stolen push bike please take a moment to review the images on our Facebook page for further details or come to Trowbridge police station when the enquiry office is open - currently usual working hours on weekdays only.

Finally, we have recently had a report of indecent exposure close to the metal bridge in Southwick Country Park, where what is believed to be a youth has exposed himself to a female and young child.  Whilst we are treating the matter seriously, we believe this to be a mis-guided teenage prank rather than anything more sinister.  The Neighbourhood Team have increased patrols in the area and will continue to monitor the situation.

Take care and stay safe.
