COMMERCE WAY, MELKSHAM, (ED12) Officers on patrol carried out a routine vehicle stop check. The driver was discovered to have no valid insurance and was reported for this offence.  The vehicle was seized and recovered under 165 of the Road Traffic Act.

THE SPA, MELKSHAM, (ED12) Officers on patrol carried out a routine stop check on a vehicle. Enquiries with the driver established he was in possession of a small amount of Cannabis. The male, in his teens from Corsham, was  issued with a Cannabis street warning.

A3102, MELKSHAM, (ED12) Officers on patrol carried out a routine vehicle stop check due to the poor manner of driving. The drive was given a drug swipe test which tested positive for Cannabis. The driver was subsequently arrested on suspicion of drug driving. The male, in his 20’s, from Melksham was later released RUI (Under Police Investigation)

A3102, MELKSHAM, (ED12) In relation to the above vehicle stop incident, a male passenger in the same vehicle was found to be in possession of a small quantity of cannabis. The male, in his 20’s from Melksham was dealt with by was of a cannabis street warning.

BEANACRE ROAD, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Officers on patrol carried out a routine stop check on a vehicle. Enquiries with the female driver established she had no valid insurance, MOT or tax for the vehicle. The female, in her 20’s from SEEND was reported for the traffic offences and the vehicle was seized and removed from the road, s165 no insurance.

HIGH STREET, MELKSHAM, (POUNDSTRETCHER) (ED11) Following a shoplifting by a male with a female accomplice who was driving a get-way vehicle, a male was identified and arrested on suspicion of theft. Steven ROBINS, 33 of no fixed abode, Melksham, was later released and charged with this theft and two further thefts from Tesco Express Bowerhill and Sainsbury’s. He will appear at Salisbury Mags on the 14th Aug. His female accomplice was also identified and arrested on suspicion of theft at Tesco Express, Bowerhill. Charlotte BARROW-DAVIS of NFA Melksham was later released and charged with this theft and motoring offences.

LOWBOURNE, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Sometime between the 12th May and 18th June offenders have stolen a car from a car park which had left the vehicle in situ for some time.

HIGH STREET, MELKSHAM, (BOOTS THE CHEMISTS LTD) (ED11) Following a report of a shoplifting, a male was later located and identified and arrested on suspicion of theft. Jack ISSACS, 36, of no fixed abode, Trowbridge, was later charged with theft and remanded to court. He pleaded guilty, fined £80 and ordered to pay compensation of £150.

CAMPION DRIVE, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Officers on patrol carried out a stop check on a vehicle. A breath test was conducted which the driver failed and was subsequently  arrested on suspicion of drink driving.  Steven MERRIT, 38, of Sangster Avenue was later released and charged with driving a vehicle while over the prescribed limit of alcohol. He will appear at Salisbury Mags on the 7th Aug.

A350, MELKSHAM (ED12) Officers on patrol carried out a stop check on a vehicle. A drugs swipe test was carried out on the driver which tested positive for Cannabis. BLACKMORE ROAD, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Following information from a member of the public of a male driving a car while possibly intoxicated and urinating in public, officers attended and located the vehicle in Sandridge Road. The driver was given a roadside breath test which he failed, and was arrested on suspicion of drink driving. Robert HALL, 29, from Towpath Road, Hilperton, was later released and charged with driving a vehicle while over the prescribed limit of alcohol. He will appear at Salisbury Mags on the 7th Aug.

THE MANOR PRIMARY SCHOOL, RUSKIN AVENUE, MELKSHAM, (ED11) Offenders have entered the grounds of the school and  climbed onto the roof. Several roof tiles have been ripped off and thrown into the playground.
