Alert message sent 09/07/2020 14:16:00

Information sent on behalf of Wiltshire Police

We’re appealing for witnesses to an incident which occurred in Dilton Marsh last week.

At approximately 1pm on Wednesday 1 July, a man in his 50s was in the process of getting into his parked car – a silver Vauxhall Corsa – which was parked on the High Street near to the junction with St Mary’s Lane, when another driver appears to have deliberately driven at him.

The driver was on the opposite side of the road, coming from the direction of Frome, and appeared to swerve across the road. He is believed to have been driving a silver Dacia.  Fortunately, the man was not injured but was left feeling shaken up and frightened.

We believe a silver Volvo was being driven behind the Dacia and we are keen to speak to the driver of this vehicle as they could be a key witness to the incident.

We also believe an elderly man walking his dog in the area at the time and may have witnessed the incident.

If you think either of these people were you, or if you have further information which could help, please call us on 101 and quote crime reference number 54200063480.

Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
