Arrest update - incident in Toothill

An 18-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of two counts of grievous bodily harm with intent, has been released on conditional bail.

It follows an incident yesterday (20/07) in Affleck Close, Toothill. 

A 16-year-old girl suffered a wound to her hand and was taken to the Great Western Hospital, and an 18-year-old man suffered injuries to his face.  He was taken to Bristol Royal Infirmary Hospital. 

Both have now been released from hospital. 

We can also confirm that a knife or bladed weapon was used in the assault. 

We are still appealing for witnesses and would like to hear from anyone who has any information in relation to the incident; please call 101 and quote crime reference number 54200071077.
