Roads remain closed following serious collision in Derry Hill

Alert message sent 16/08/2020 10:17:00

Information sent on behalf of Wiltshire Police

The A4 and the A342 remain closed following a serious collision in Derry Hill this morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 3am following a report that a vehicle had collided with the side of a house before catching fire.

Officers are working tirelessly at the scene and this work is expected to take many hours therefore the road closures are likely to remain in place all day.

We understand a number of people are gathering at the cordons and this is putting additional demand on our resources which are required at the scene of the collision.

We would ask you all to be mindful of the ongoing work being carried out by those at the scene - please do not add to this work by attending the cordons.

We will update you further when we can.
