Crime Prevention Advice
CCTV Alternative Device  - The Cube is a Secured By Design approved product which can capture images and alert the owner to movement without the need for mains power or Wifi.  This device is acts as a CCTV alternative for rural locations e.g. farms, stables etc which may be of benefit.
Keep your Horse and Tack Safe
Take detailed photographs of your horse and then all equipment – especially any unusual or expensive items. These images can be passed to police and you can circulate online.

Inventory - Keep an updated inventory of your property, note down all serial numbers, keep documents safe and look at marking your equipment.

Tack may not be covered by your insurance policy as standard and there may be specific instructions to meet. Some policies specify a 5-lever mortice deadlock is fitted on all doors (these locks can be purchased for around £30). Some specify steel bars/grids on the windows.

You could consider CCTV overlooking entrances.

REMINDER: From October 2020 it will be mandatory for all owners to microchip their horses, ponies and donkeys. This will hopefully prevent abuse and improve welfare. Please contact your local Vet.
