Update to appeal following criminal damage

Alert message sent 07/10/2020 16:47:00

Information sent on behalf of Wiltshire Police

Following our appeal for witnesses after a car was damaged in Trowbridge, we now have an additional description of one of the suspects.

At approximately 7pm on Saturday 19 September, three youths deliberately ran over the top of the vehicle, which was parked on Green Lane, causing extensive damage.

The youths appeared to be with a larger group who had gathered nearby.

The three are described as white, of slim build wearing dark jackets;  one was wearing black leggings with white writing on; another was wearing knee length shorts and the other was carrying a distinctive yellow patterned rucksack - this is the new information.

Another youth, who didn't jump on the car, was wearing a dark coloured parka with fur around the hood.

PC Mandie Conn said:  "The rucksack was quite unusual and distinctive - perhaps you know who may have one like this.
"The incident took place in broad daylight in a residential street so some would have seen this happen.
"If you recognise the description of the youths or know who was involved in this, please contact us on 101 quoting crime reference number 54200094640."

Alternatively, you can report anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
