Operation Sceptre - Knife Crime

Alert message sent 10/11/2020 13:03:00

Information sent on behalf of Wiltshire Police

This week Salisbury Police are participating in Operation Sceptre, which is a national week of action to tackle knife crime.

We will be patrolling known hot-spots for knife-related offences and taking proactive action to target offenders that are suspected of carrying knives illegally.

Usually as part of Operation Sceptre we would host community consultations with the public and visit local schools in order to educate people about knife-related crime. However during the lock-down we will not be able to do these engagements, so instead we will be hosting a live Q&A session on our Facebook Page.

At 1pm this Friday (the 13th) we will have a live Q&A session relating to knife-crime in Salisbury on the Salisbury Police Facebook Page with your local Neighbourhood Policing Team.

There will be the opportunity to ask questions on the day, but we will prioritise answering questions that are submitted in advance both in the comments section on Facebook and via the Community Messaging service.

If you have any questions relating to knife-crime in Salisbury then please let us know by replying to this message and join us on Friday at 1pm for our Q&A session on Facebook.
