Speeding drivers in your area targeted as part of Wiltshire roads policing campaign

Alert message sent 20/11/2020 16:39:00

Information sent on behalf of Wiltshire Police

Officers have been targeting speeding drivers in Westbury as part of our week-long road safety campaign to reduce seriously injured and fatal road traffic collisions (RTCs) in Wiltshire.

On Monday, November 16, we carried out static speed checks at Hisomley, Westbury, between 4.00pm and 4.30pm.

We are pleased to report that no offences were witnessed and all drivers were sticking to the speed limit and the laws of the road.
PC Jamie Darvill, of the Warminster Community Policing Team, said: “We were pleased to see that the drivers were abiding to the speed limit.

“At this time of year when road conditions are affected by water, leaves and mud, it is important to watch your speed and the limits are just that, not a target and you need to drive to the conditions.

“If you have concerns of speeding in your area, we encourage you to contact your local authority to report it.”
