Man charged following firearms incident in Swindon

A man has been charged with firearms offences following an incident in Swindon town centre yesterday afternoon (20/12). 

Joseph Mclaughlin, aged 31, from Curtis Street was charged with two offences of possession of a firearm/air rifle in a public place and one charge of being drunk in charge of a loaded firearm. 

He was remanded in custody and is due to appear before Swindon Magistrates this morning (21/12).
