Information sent on behalf of Wiltshire Police

We’re appealing for witnesses following the report of suspicious behaviour in Quemerford.

On Friday 11 December between 4.30pm and 5pm, a male in dark clothing was seen looking through a front window of a house before running off when disturbed by a passer-by in a van.

A small pencilled circle was left on the outside of the property. Soon afterwards the same witness had their van window smashed by someone in a dark coloured vehicle.

PC Dom Maidment said: “We would like to speak to anyone who may have heard or seen anything suspicious in the village before or after this incident.
“Also, please be vigilant and mindful of our crime prevention advice – especially at this time of the year when the days are shorter, darker and there are could be Christmas presents on show.”

If you can help in relation to this incident, please contact us on 101 quoting crime reference number 54200122953.

Crime prevention advice can be found here.
