Information sent on behalf of Wiltshire and Swindon NHW

A Christmas message to all Wiltshire NHW members
There is doubtless much disappointment and frustration being felt by millions of people following the revised COVID restrictions announced over the weekend.  Let us hope for better news and renewed optimism during 2021.
In the meantime, I would like to convey a message of 'thanks' on behalf of Wiltshire NHW Association to all members.  Throughout what has been an extremely difficult year, the significance of neighbourliness has been a very prominent feature in the willingness of so many people to support their neighbours.
In looking ahead to the New Year, the launch of our Association's new website is eagerly anticipated.  Our Association committee hopes the site content will generate increased interest in NHW and use by members.
Work has now commenced in contacting Wiltshire scheme co-ordinators and members to check on the status of NHW schemes and membership.  Although time-consuming, the response to date has been encouraging.  This work also supports our Association's aim to be seen as an important partner in supporting the strategic aim of Wiltshire Police to revitalise neighbourhood policing across Wiltshire and Swindon.
It is anticipated that Zoom-style meetings will commence in the New Year offering an opportunity for NHW scheme co-ordinators and members to meet with their respective Community Policing Team neighbourhood officers and PCSO's.
Future meetings will be publicised on Community Messaging.
With best wishes for Christmas and the New Year
